Thanksgiving

It was a very special time with Jud's parents and brother Cheyne and his family. Ronda and Mom B. spread a feast before us every night. It was like Thanksgiving all week! We especially enjoyed the bountiful fresh harvest of Hoonah. On top of the delicious salmon and halibut, we had venison, mushrooms and crab all harvested while we were there.

It took Tucker a couple days to get used to having other people around wanting to hold and play with him but when he warmed up to them he was a bundle of joy. He started scooting and semi crawling Wednesday and we had loads of fun helping him along the next couple of days. All the while I was telling myself "Oh Boy! His immobile days are over."

We hunted deer several days while we were in Hoonah but were unsuccessful. However, Cheyne harvested a couple of bucks while we were there and so we brought some venison home for our freezer. Cheyne and Ronda also pulled their crab pots Friday morning and sent us home with close to 40# of fresh crab. Yummy. We are grateful for their generosity and a full freezer.
